Epidermis Mnemonic- Remember And Retain Epidermal Strata

Through ‘epidermis mnemonic‘, I am going to teach you to remember and retain the layer of epidermis. Well, I am going to follow the memory techniques as I did for Lupus Mnemonic.

Layer Of Epidermis/Strata Of The Epidermis:

1.Stratum Corneum

2.Stratum Lucidum

3.Stratum Granulosum

4.Stratum Spinosum

5.Stratum Basale

Now,as I never forget to mention, the above words are abstract and do not trigger any mental images so that you can easily visualize them.So what is the solution?
Well, convert them into something that can be visualized and that can be done through substitute words. Yes, that is right. Substitute words can help you to remember anything that is abstract and does not make sense.So now I will create substitute words for each of the layer of Epidermis as given in the table below.

Substitute words are nothing but words which sound close to the words that we want to remember. They just sound similar. Now that we have the substitute words, you can associate all the substitute words with one another using linking system and create an illogical and ridiculous epidermis mnemonic story! I have discussed this process in cranial nerves mnemonic.

I understand that everyone may not regards the above mnemonic aid as tangible! For those of you who do not buy the above technique, I have created a first letter epidermis mnemonic, which is given below:

Corneum: Come!

Lucidum: Lets

Granulosum: Grow

Spinosum: Some

Basale: Berries
